Recycling- If you do one thing in 2023, let recycling practices improve.
The following bin colours are correct for Fenland District Council, but elsewhere in the country, colours may differ.
We know that there is still too much material in Green Bins that could have been put in the Blue. Sometimes it is because it has been contaminated and deliberately put into the ‘Landfill’ bin – and this is the correct thing to do.
However, there is material that could have been separated but could have been separated and stored in the recycling bin. If you are confused, try this link:

A behaviour change should be easy and associated with something you already do. We found that having two waste bins is more straightforward than having one that needed sorting, so we sort before binning in the house and then empty into the correct outside bin.
